Tis was one heck of a trek.
I came to DTW, Friday afternoon at 1pm expecting to leave at 2pm. My flight gets delayed for 4 hours. Plane comes in and we board, when the stewardess cancels the flight. There are no flights available until the next week.. I scramble alongside 100 other NYC bound people and find a flight for the next day for pretty cheap, puji Tuhan! Sleep in the airport for about 30 minutes because I was afraid of someone stealing my stuff. I wasn’t in the terminal (although I wish I was) but was staying at the check-in area of the airport. Got aboard the new flight that layovers in DC. DC would not be DC if I didn’t get to see its well-knowns. Gawked at the Washington Memorial and the White House from the airport, then bought myself a nice little yellow watch for a bargain so that I could remember DCA. Just as I was about to board, there are 15 guide trainee dogs going on the flight with me, had to be the best thing ever. Arrived to LGA and never felt more like home. Came home and passed out for 12 hours. This is what I call life.
